BLT Bites

BLT Bites take the classic BLT sandwich and turn it into a bite-sized, crowd-friendly appetizer. Crisp bacon, juicy tomatoes, and fresh lettuce sit atop toasted baguette slices with a creamy layer of mayonnaise. They’re easy to assemble, visually appealing, and perfect for parties, gatherings, or quick snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette, sliced
  • 1/2 cup light mayonnaise
  • 23 romaine lettuce leaves, torn into 2-inch pieces
  • 4 small tomatoes, sliced
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Maldon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon
    Place the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat and cook until crispy on both sides, flipping once (about 10 minutes).
    Transfer to a paper towel–lined plate, let cool slightly, then chop into 1-inch pieces.

  2. Prepare the base
    Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on each baguette slice.

  3. Assemble the bites
    Layer each slice in this order:

    1. Lettuce

    2. Tomato slice

    3. Bacon pieces

    4. Chopped green onions

  4. Finish
    Sprinkle lightly with Maldon sea salt.

  5. Serve
    Arrange on a platter and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Lightly toast the baguette slices for extra crunch.
  • Use cherry tomatoes (halved) for smaller, neater bites.
  • Add avocado slices for a BLT twist.
  • Swap mayo with garlic aioli or yogurt-based spread for variation.
