Ingredients
- 4 corn or flour tortillas
- 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- 4 basil leaves, julienned
Instructions
- Heat a dry skillet over medium heat.
- Place one tortilla in the pan.
- Sprinkle 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese evenly over the tortilla.
- Layer half of the tomato slices over the cheese.
- Sprinkle another 1/4 cup of cheese over the tomatoes.
- Add half of the julienned basil leaves.
- Top with a second tortilla and press gently.
- Cook for about 3 minutes per side, until the tortilla is golden and the cheese is fully melted.
- Repeat to make the second quesadilla.
- Slice into wedges and serve warm.
