Carrot Ginger Sauce is the pasta addition you didn’t know you were looking for — creamy, flavorful, and packed with nourishing ingredients. And it’s not just for pasta! This vibrant sauce is delicious tossed with rice, spooned over roasted vegetables, or even spread inside wraps and bowls.

When it comes to my kids, they usually don’t care what’s mixed into their pasta or rice — as long as it tastes good. But the first time I served this bright “orange pasta,” they were definitely skeptical. One bite later? Completely hooked.

The natural sweetness from the carrots, the savory depth of miso, and the nutty richness of tahini create a flavor combination that’s comforting, unique, and surprisingly kid-approved.

Ingredients

  1. Start by prepping your vegetables. Peel and mince the garlic and ginger, and peel and finely chop the carrots.
  2. Heat oil in a sauté pan over medium heat and add the garlic. Cook until fragrant and softened, about 30 seconds. Add the ginger and carrots, cover, and cook until the carrots are tender — about 15 minutes.
  3. Transfer everything to a food processor. Add the tahini and miso, then puree until completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Toss with your family’s favorite pasta and serve immediately.
