Fun, bite-sized, and easy to handle, these Chocolate Covered Apple Lollipops are a kid-friendly twist on classic caramel apples—perfect for fall snacks or festive treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 apples
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)
  • Popsicle sticks

Topping Ideas:

  • Caramel
  • Chopped nuts or seeds
  • Sprinkles
  • Cookie crumbles
  • Mini chocolate chips or candies
  • Chopped dried fruit
  • Flaky sea salt

Instructions

1. Prep the Apples

  • Wash and thoroughly dry apples.
  • Slice into 1/2-inch thick rounds.

2. Insert Sticks

  • Carefully insert popsicle sticks into one side of each slice.
  • Handle gently to prevent splitting.

3. Melt Chocolate

  • Combine chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

4. Dip & Coat

  • Dip each apple slice into melted chocolate.
  • Use a spoon to fully coat.
  • Let excess chocolate drip off.

5. Add Toppings

  • Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Immediately add desired toppings.

6. Chill

  • Refrigerate or freeze until chocolate is fully set.

Notes

  • Dry apples well: Moisture prevents chocolate from sticking.
  • Work quickly: Add toppings before chocolate sets.
  • Use firm apples: Helps slices hold their shape.
  • Optional coconut oil: Creates smoother, shinier chocolate.
