Chocolate Dipped Matzah with Sprinkles is one of our newest favorite sweet treats. It’s beyond simple to make, comes together in just minutes, and adds a festive, chocolatey touch to any holiday celebration. Crisp matzah crackers topped with silky melted chocolate and colorful sprinkles are guaranteed to make kids — and adults — smile.

Whether you’re celebrating during Passover or adding a fun treat to your Hanukkah festivities, this easy recipe is a delicious way to get everyone involved in the kitchen.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 4 large pieces matzah crackers, each cut into 6 smaller pieces
  • ½ cup sprinkles of choice

Instructions

Step 1: Melt the Chocolate

Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl (preferably glass). Heat for 60 seconds, stirring halfway through. Continue heating in 15-second intervals if needed until smooth.

Alternatively, place the bowl over a small pot filled with 1 inch of simmering water and stir until melted, about 3–4 minutes.

Step 2: Drizzle the Chocolate

Using a spoon, drizzle the melted chocolate over half of each matzah cracker. Place the dipped pieces on parchment paper.

Step 3: Add Sprinkles

While the chocolate is still warm, sprinkle generously with your favorite sprinkles. Allow the chocolate to cool and set completely, about 20 minutes.

Notes

  • Chocolate Hack: For shinier chocolate that hardens quickly, stir in 1–2 teaspoons of coconut oil to create a DIY magic shell effect.
  • Sprinkle Quickly: Add sprinkles immediately while the chocolate is warm. If you wait too long, the chocolate will harden and the sprinkles won’t stick properly.
  • Customize It: Try white chocolate, dark chocolate, crushed nuts, or shredded coconut for a fun variation.
  • Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
