Cotton Candy Smoothie

No reviews

The name usually gets a little side-eye from adults—and instant excitement from kids. That’s okay. Despite what it’s called, this smoothie has nothing to do with actual cotton candy. No dyes, no artificial flavors, no sugar rush. Just a naturally pink, creamy smoothie that tastes like a strawberry milkshake and feels fun to drink.

It’s light, refreshing, and familiar enough that kids don’t need convincing. Sometimes that’s the whole win.

Ingredients

Scale

(Adjust as needed)

  • 2 cups frozen strawberries

  • ½ cup frozen cauliflower

  • 1⅓ cups milk of choice

  • ½ cup plain or vanilla yogurt

  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender, in the order listed.

  2. Blend until completely smooth. Pause to scrape down the sides if needed.

Serve right away.

Notes

  • This smoothie is very forgiving. If you want it thicker, add more frozen fruit. Thinner? A splash more milk works.

  • The cauliflower blends in quietly—it adds creaminess without announcing itself.

  • If honey isn’t your thing, maple syrup or another sweetener works just as well.

This is one of those recipes that doesn’t need a lot of explanation. It’s fun, it’s familiar, and it makes kids happy—which, some days, is more than enough.
