Sometimes the simplest recipes become family favorites. Crispy Broccoli turns everyday florets into tender, golden bites with crispy edges and plenty of flavor.

It takes just three ingredients and a hot oven, making it an easy side for almost any dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • Canola oil spray or 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Arrange the broccoli on a baking sheet. Line the pan with foil for easier cleanup if desired.
  3. Lightly spray the broccoli with canola oil or drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Toss to coat, then sprinkle evenly with salt.
  5. Spread the broccoli into a single layer.
  6. Roast for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are browned and crispy.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Give it space: Spread the broccoli into a single layer so it roasts instead of steaming.
  • Go for crispy edges: Don’t worry if some florets get deeply browned. Those crispy bits are the best part.
  • Cut evenly: Similar-sized florets will cook more evenly.
  • Easy cleanup: Line the baking sheet with foil or parchment before adding the broccoli.
