- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)

2. CookCover and cook on low for 2½ hours, or until the chicken is tender and fully cooked through.

You can serve the breasts whole or shred them using two forks.
Be sure to save the flavorful juices from the bottom of the pot — they’re perfect for mixing back into shredded chicken for BBQ sandwiches.
Notes
- Don’t overcook: Chicken breasts can dry out if cooked too long. Check for doneness around the 2½-hour mark.
- Make it shredded: For pulled BBQ chicken, shred the meat and stir it back into the cooking juices.
- Sauce options: Use your favorite bottled BBQ sauce for convenience or make your own if you have extra time.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- Freezer-friendly: Shredded BBQ chicken freezes well for up to 3 months.
