If getting more greens into the day feels like a struggle, this is an easy place to start. The Green Monster Smoothie blends fresh spinach with bananas and milk into something naturally sweet, creamy, and completely approachable.

It’s quick enough for busy mornings and simple enough for kids to help make. Sometimes changing the format—from plate to glass—makes all the difference.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups milk (any kind works)
  • 4 cups packed fresh spinach
  • 2 large bananas
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave

Instructions

  1. Add the milk, spinach, bananas, and honey (or agave) to a blender.
  2. Blend on high for about 1 minute, or until completely smooth and bright green.
  3. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Milk Options:
Dairy, almond, oat, or soy milk all work well. Use what you have.
  • Sweetness Level:
Very ripe bananas may be sweet enough on their own. Taste before adding honey if you prefer less sweetness.
  • Make It Colder:
For a thicker, colder smoothie, use frozen bananas or add a handful of ice.
  • Storage:
Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake or stir before drinking.
