Lemon Mint Tea is light, refreshing, and incredibly easy to make with just a handful of ingredients. Fresh mint, bright lemon juice, and a touch of honey create a naturally flavorful drink that’s delicious served over ice in warm weather or enjoyed hot on cooler days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup packed fresh mint leaves (or 3 mint tea bags)
  • 2 tablespoons honey, agave, or sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  • Pour the boiling water over the fresh mint leaves in a heatproof pitcher or large container.
  • Let the tea steep as it cools to room temperature.
  • Stir in the honey until dissolved, then add the fresh lemon juice.
  • Refrigerate until well chilled.
  • Serve over ice, or enjoy warm if preferred.

Notes

  • Hot Version: Skip the chilling step and enjoy the tea warm for a soothing drink.
  • Sparkling Twist: Top with sparkling water just before serving for a refreshing fizzy version.
  • Flavor Variations: Fresh ginger slices, cucumber, basil, or a splash of orange juice all make delicious additions.
  • Tea Bags: If fresh mint isn’t available, substitute 3 mint tea bags with equally refreshing results.
  • Storage: Store leftover tea in a covered pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir before serving, as the lemon juice and sweetener may naturally settle.
