Sweet, nutty, and perfectly gooey, this classic Pecan Pie is a holiday staple that’s surprisingly easy to make—perfect for getting the whole family involved.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown rice syrup or corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 cups raw pecans
  • 1 unbaked pie crust (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

1. Preheat & Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a pie dish with the unbaked pie crust.

2. Make the Filling

  • In a bowl, combine brown sugar, syrup, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt.
  • Mix until smooth.

3. Add Pecans

  • Stir in pecans until evenly coated.

4. Assemble

  • Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.

5. Bake

  • Bake for 45 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.

6. Cool

  • Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Don’t overbake: The center should have a slight jiggle—it will firm up as it cools.
  • Cool completely: Essential for clean slices and proper texture.
  • Use quality pecans: Fresh pecans give the best flavor and crunch.
