This Pineapple Brown Sugar Glazed Ham has been on our Christmas Eve table for the past 17 years. Calling it a family tradition almost feels like an understatement. It’s sweet, tangy, simple to make, and always the star of the meal.

With just a handful of ingredients and very little prep, this glazed ham is perfect for holidays, special gatherings, or anytime you need a reliable crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups chopped fresh pineapple (or one 16-ounce can crushed pineapple, drained)

  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard

  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar

  • 1 (6-pound) fully cooked, bone-in ham

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F.

  • In a small saucepan, combine the pineapple, mustard, and brown sugar. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the pineapple softens and the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes.

  • Place the ham in a 13×9-inch baking dish and generously coat with the pineapple glaze.

  • Roast the ham, basting with the glaze every 30 minutes, until warmed through, about 1½–2 hours.

  • Slice the ham and serve with extra sauce spooned over the top.

Notes

  • Gentle heat: Keep the glaze at medium-low to prevent scorching.

  • Prevent burning: If the glaze begins to darken before the ham is fully heated, loosely cover with foil and continue roasting.
