These Pizza Pinwheels are a fun, savory twist on pizza—rolled, sliced, and baked into bite-sized spirals packed with ham, cheese, and flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon or yellow mustard
  • 1 cup chopped ham
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).

2. Roll Out Dough

  • Roll pizza dough into a large rectangle (about 18 × 12 inches), approximately 1/4 inch thick.

3. Add Filling

  • Evenly spread mustard over the dough.
  • Sprinkle chopped ham and shredded cheese on top.

4. Roll the Dough

  • Starting from the long edge closest to you, roll the dough tightly into a log (jelly-roll style).

5. Slice into Pinwheels

  • Lightly dust the roll with flour.
  • Using a serrated knife, slice into 1-inch thick discs.

6. Prepare for Baking

  • Place pinwheels on a parchment- or silicone-lined baking sheet.
  • Lightly press each piece to slightly flatten.

7. Bake

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

8. Serve

  • Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Roll tightly: Prevents filling from falling out
  • Use a serrated knife: Ensures clean cuts without squishing
  • Even spacing: Allows proper baking and crisp edges
