Ingredients
- 4 slices sandwich bread
- 4 mozzarella cheese sticks or 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
- 4 slices pepperoni, diced (optional)
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce, warmed
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
1. Prepare the Bread
- Remove crusts from bread
- Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice until thin and pliable
2. Add Filling
- Place:
- 1 mozzarella cheese sticks or 2 tablespoons shredded mozzarella
- Diced pepperoni (if using)
along the edge closest to you
3. Roll
- Roll bread tightly into a cylinder
- Press seam firmly to help seal
4. Cook
- Melt butter in a sauté pan over medium heat
- Place roll ups seam-side down first
- Cook 1–2 minutes until golden
- Continue rotating and cooking until all sides are evenly browned and crisp
5. Slice & Serve
- Cut each roll into 4 bite-sized pieces if desired
- Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping

- Cook seam-side down first: Melted cheese helps seal the roll
- Roll tightly: Prevents filling from escaping
- Serve immediately: Best texture occurs while cheese is molten
