Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ onion, diced
- ½ red bell pepper, diced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 sandwich buns or rolls (optional)
Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 3–5 minutes, or until softened.
Add the red bell pepper, carrot, and celery. Continue cooking for another 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 2: Cook the TurkeyAdd the ground turkey to the pan. Break it up with a spoon and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the meat is fully cooked through.
Step 3: Simmer the SauceStir in the tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Reduce heat slightly and simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken and flavors to develop.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 4: ServeSpoon the turkey mixture onto hamburger buns or your favorite sandwich rolls. Serve warm and enjoy!
